Question 1- How do I sign up and begin taking lessons?

Once you have chosen a course, please fill out a sign up form. Under comments, please state the course you wish to sign up for. We will contact you to cover any questions you may have, and assist you in completing any requirements prior to beginning. All courses are booked on a first come basis and full course payment must be received to hold your spot.

Question 2- Do I use the fire truck for my driving test?

Yes, you use our NFPA compliant Spartan pumper for all your training and road testing. A road testing date is booked for 4 students once their knowledge tests are completed with Drivetest. It includes a complimentary review session in the morning of your road testing date. It also allows you to choose when you would like to test that day. An individual (one on one) road test may be available for anyone looking to have an extra lesson just prior to their road test. This will allow for a warm up/loosen up a couple of hours before the actual road testing. There is a $99 surcharge for a solo road testing date/time, plus any additional training requested outside of regular course.

Question 3- How are the in truck lessons offered?

Group Lessons or Individual.

Group Lessons are a full day of truck training included with your DZ Licence Course.  We allow up to 4 students in the truck per day. Each training day starts at 9 am. If there is 4 students in the truck, it will run till 5 pm. If 3 students booked in, we will run till 3:30 pm, and only 2 booked in, we will run till 2 pm. Pick your in truck training dates and plan to show up for 9 am. Plan for a full day of training. We will do our best to let you know if someone cancelled out late.

Individual (One on one) in truck lessons are available upon request. They will be 3 hours long each. An individual lesson is in exchange for a group lesson offered with the course. You have the ability to custom choose your dates and start time. There is a $99 surcharge (per lesson) for one on one lessons.

Additional in truck lessons are available to be taken at anytime after the classroom session. They can be prior to in truck lesson one, in between lessons, or after in truck lesson two. They are available to allow anyone to be better prepared, catch up, or just have more time required to feel comfortable enough to inspect and drive the truck to ministry standards. Additional in truck training is $90 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.

Question 4- When can I take my driving lessons?

Driving lessons can be booked 6 days a week (closed Sundays). They are booked on a first requested/first reserved basis. Conveniently you will book your in truck training from a list of dates given when your road testing date is booked/confirmed with the drive test center. The in truck training dates are available all days of the week including Saturdays for you to choose from.
